• Thoracic extension + rotation
• Lumbar extension + anterior pelvic tilt
• Shoulder external rotation + scapular control
• Ankle mobility + plantar flexion
• Soft tissue release, stretching, strengthening drills
• Corrective work tailored to your unique structure and posing goals

When to Hire a Coach

If you’re planning to compete within the next 6–12 months, now is the time to start.

Prep isn’t just a 12-week sprint—it’s a season-long strategy. The physique you bring to the stage is built long before the cut begins. Your prep starts with movement quality, program design, macro education, and posing consistency. Once you're technically sound, you’re more likely to stick to the cut and step on stage with confidence.

Here’s What Coaching Looks Like

In-Person hands-on coaching focused on technique, alignment, and mobility
Learn to lift well, not just hard. I’ll teach you what to feel in every movement and how to fix the positions that limit your strength or symmetry.

Nutrition and cardio protocols adjusted weekly — not guessed
Every change is data-driven, based on biofeedback, check-ins, and performance trends.

Lifting technique that teaches you the “why,” not just the “how”
You’ll understand how to create tension, control tempo, and improve muscular balance — skills that carry beyond the stage.

Mobility as your foundation
We assess and improve how your body moves so you can build symmetry, prevent injury, and pose without restriction. Your joints, posture, and range of motion determine how your physique looks under the lights — mobility changes your shape more than you think.

Peak week planning + in-person support
No guesswork. I’ll be there with you through daily check-ins, stage readiness feedback, and real-time adjustments leading into show day.

Support through the entire process — including reverse dieting
The real work starts after the show. You’ll have structured nutrition and training to rebuild your metabolism and maintain your results.

A real relationship — not just a spreadsheet
In-person coaching is rare in a virtual world, but that’s where I thrive. Seeing you move, lift, and pose in real time gives me data no app can. This is how we make lasting progress.

Open conversations about hormones and health
Many competitors struggle with energy, cycle changes, or metabolic adaptation. We talk about it openly, use lab data when needed, and make decisions that support your longevity — not just your next check-in photo.

I had an online coach who wasn’t attentive at all. Working with Angela was completely different—she was personally invested in my progress and goals, which made this prep feel truly tailored to me.” – Lauren

Bikini & Wellness Posing 101

Why Mobility Matters for Posing, Performance, and Physique

Most competitors obsess over macros and cardio—but overlook the one thing that shapes their physique the most: how they move.

If you can’t access key ranges of motion, it shows up in everything—your lifts, your posing, your lines, and your stage presence.

• Struggling to arch in your back pose? Likely a thoracic extension issue.
• Can’t pop your glutes without overextending your low back? That’s poor pelvic control.
• Can’t fully rotate your shoulders in your front pose? Internal and external rotation limitations.
• Flared ribs, uneven lats, quad dominance, flat glutes—it’s all connected to mobility and positioning.

Mobility isn’t just for rehab—it’s your secret weapon for:

✔ Cleaner, safer lifts = better progressive overload
✔ Posing that actually shows off your symmetry
✔ Reduced injury risk during prep but more importantly, life
✔ Long-term physique development

This is the niche I coach hard—because it’s what’s missing from 99% of prep programs.

Your First Session Starts with a Mobility Assessment

Before we talk macros or posing—we start with how you move.

Your ankles affect your glutes.
Your hips affect your shoulders.
Your spine affects your ability to arch, twist, and breathe.

If you're stiff, locked up, or moving through compensations, it will show up on stage. That’s why every new client starts with a full-body mobility assessment—so we can identify and correct the movement limitations that are holding you back from building symmetry, lifting efficiently, and posing with ease.

FAQs

  • Ideally 6–12 months before your target show. The earlier we start, the better we can improve symmetry, metabolism, and posing before entering a deficit. Many of my athletes spend months in a building or maintenance phase before the official “cut” begins — and that’s exactly what sets them apart on stage. The body you bring to the stage is built long before prep starts — through months, and ideally years, of consistent training, nutrition, and mobility work. Contest prep doesn’t build the muscle — it reveals the muscle you’ve already earned.

  • No— you do not need to be a member to come in and train with me, but your included in-person sessions will be held at American Strength in Maplewood, MN. You’re welcome to train elsewhere for the rest of your program. Posing sessions can also move virtual as we progress.

  • Yes! I offer standalone posing packages if you already have a lifting coach or live out of state.

  • Most first-time competitors need a 20–30 week cut (depending on body fat and experience). But smart prep starts before that—with a base-building phase. My best clients work with me year-round to avoid burnout and bring a better physique every season.

  • Yes. While Bikini and Wellness share some similarities, the muscular balance, lower body emphasis, programming and presentation differ. We’ll identify which division best suits your structure, strength, and long-term goals before building your training and posing accordingly.
